Vikas Prasad Films and Saakshat Entertainments’ Welcome Wedding (UA) is the story of a stubborn but wealthy young lad who doesn’t want to join his father’s business.
Daljit Khurana (Darshan Jariwala) is a wealthy but stingy widower, living with his mother (Farida Dadi). His son, Prem (Sahil Kohli), returns to India… after completing his education in the US and Daljit wants him to join him in his business in order to reduce the work pressure on him. However, Prem has his own set of dreams and aspirations and informs his dad about a scheme where he can earn Rs. 100 crores in 90 days.Meanwhile, Prem’s grandmother is keen on getting him married and has her eyes set on a girl named Lavanya (Komal Jha). Lavanya is the daughter of Daljit’s office manager, Satyanarayan Pande (Raju Kher).
As the family are keen on fulfilling their respective motives, everything comes to a halt when it is suddenly announced that actress Rakhi Sawant (Rakhi Sawant herself) would be marrying Daljit during a live news telecast. It also mentions that the wedding as well as the ‘suhagraat’ that is the nuptial night, will also be broadcasted live on television. This leaves Daljit flabbergasted as he is unaware of his own wedding. Yet the preparations continue in full swing. Meanwhile, Lavanya and Prem fall in love with each other.
