Powering the V-Strom 800DE is the new liquid-cooled, 776cc parallel-twin motor that belts out 84.3 hp and 78 Nm of peak torque.It’s paired with a 6-speed gearbox and comes equipped with a bi-directional quickshifter as standard for clutchless gear changes.

Built for tackling rough terrains, the V-Strom 800DE features a steel frame and rides on a 21-inch front wheel and a 17-inch rear wheel with spoke rims. Suspension duties are carried out by Showa suspension at both ends offering 220 mm travel. It is interesting to note that this model, among the V-Strom family, gets the highest ground clearance of 220 mm. For braking, it gets disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS.
The V-Storm gets a 5-inch TFT instrument cluster and also boasts a comprehensive electronic rider aids package, including ride modes, traction control with a gravel mode, adjustable windshield, ride-by-wire, and low RPM assist for smoother hill starts. This middleweight adventure tourer from Suzuki will lock horns against the likes of the Triumph Tiger 900 and BMW 850 GS in the Indian market.
