Once introduced, the new RS5 Avant will compete against BMW’s M5 and Mercedes-AMG’s C 63 PHEV.
The German carmaker Audi is gearing up to give a big boost to the lineup in 2025. To achieve this goal, the brand has aligned the all-new Audi RS5 Avant, making a global debut next year. However, the exact date is not confirmed yet.
It has been reported that the vehicle will get the company’s first sporty plug-in hybrid system. The technology will mark the beginning of the performance division’s electrification journey.
All About Audi RS5 Avant
The upcoming Audi RS5 will be the successor to the V6-powered RS4, featuring the new name. It has been done under the company’s new strategy, where it has decided to give odd numbers to fuel-powered cars and even numbers to electric ones.
Engine and Power
The vehicle will be powered by a 2.9-litre V6 engine, producing extra power using electric motors. It will churn out a maximum output beyond 443.84 bhp and 600Nm, better than the current model. Amid this, the upcoming generation will continue to provide extra safety by using Volkswagen’s trusted MLB platform.
Road Appearance
Talking about the road appearance and design, it will come with heavily flared arches, and aggressive five-spoke sports wheels with a sweet touch of chrome on every single one of them. The vehicle will be equipped with a fully LED headlight setup, LED DRLs, a sleek grill at the front, and coupe coupe-style design at the back.
