
Launch date, expected price and rivals
First, let’s talk about the launch date. The Mahindra XUV 3XO will be launched in India on April 29, 2024. When launched, it will continue to compete with the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet and upcoming Skoda’s sub-4 metre SUV. With additional features and an updated design, we expect the new 3XO to carry a premium of over Rs 50,000 and prices could start from Rs 8.5 lakh (ex-showroom).

Exterior design
In terms of design, the overall silhouette of the new Mahindra XUV 3XO will remain the same but it will get re-designed front and rear fascias that are heavily inspired by Mahindra’s BE line-up of SUVs. At the front, it gets chrome-finished triangular embellishments in the grille, flanked by updated headlight clusters and fang-shaped LED DRLs.

It will also get a scuff plate at the front with fog lamps and at the rear, it boasts a re-designed tailgate with connected LED taillights and a taller bumper. In the middle, it gets the “XUV 3XO” moniker along with Mahindra’s “Twin Peaks” logo. Other exterior highlights include newly designed 16-inch alloy wheels, an integrated roof spoiler, high high-mounted stop lamp, a shark fin antenna and more.
Interior design and features

The Interior of the new Mahindra XUV 3XO will have the same dashboard layout as the Mahindra XUV 400 EV. It will feature a free-standing touchscreen infotainment system which likely measures 10.25-inch and it will also get a re-designed console with piano black and silver finish. It will also get a fully digital instrument cluster with a re-designed steering wheel and it’s also expected to get new upholstery options.

Expected features will include dual-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, AdrenoX-connected car tech, ventilated front seats, wireless phone charger, automatic headlamps with wipers and more. In terms of safety, it’s expected to come with six airbags, all-four disc brakes, ISOFIX mounts, traction control, ESP, TPMS, front and rear sensors, 360-degree parking camera and more.

Engine and gearbox
Mechanically, the XUV 300 will remain unchanged and will continue to be offered with a 115 hp, 300 Nm 1.5-litre turbo diesel, 110 hp, 200 Nm 1.2-litre turbo petrol and a Turbosport variant with 130 hp, 230 Nm 1.2-litre turbo petrol. Gearbox options will include a 6-speed manual or an AMT automatic.
